There’s been a lot of speculation about Bitcoin. And with its volatile nature, I don’t blame people for speculating. It’s been a crazy rollercoaster ride. But what exactly is the future of Bitcoin? What’s up cryptopeeps! It’s your girl Maria here to deliver your daily dose of Bitcoin news. Before diving into what a world where bitcoin is universally accepted would be like, let’s start off with what makes Bitcoin so great. First of all, it provides us financial freedom. It frees us from the power of banks to hold or freeze our accounts for whatever reason. Bitcoin allows us control over our own finances, the way it should be. Secondly, Bitcoin is the perfect fit for this digital age where technology is the new norm. If you need money, you can simply access it through your phone. According to Statistica.com around 63.4% of the world’s population use the internet through their mobile phones. That’s already more than half the world’s population. That means that more people have access to money than people who have bank accounts. This brings us to our third point. Bitcoin provides opportunity and financial inclusion for people who are unbanked. But what causes people to be unbanked in the first place? Most unbanked people live in poverty and often don’t meet the requirements needed to open up a bank account. Also, most of these people live in rural areas where they don’t have access to banks. Bitcoin is already making a huge impact in the world. Schools in Africa are even being
built with the help of crypto. Paxful, one of the top peer to peer exchanges, has recently finished putting up their second school in Rwanda. Not only were they able to provide education, but through partnering with Zamzam water, they were able to install a 35,000 liter water well system. The company’s plan is to put up a hundred schools in total. And all this was done through pure crypto financing. Now that’s just one of the many opportunities that Bitcoin can bring. Just imagine a future where bitcoin is universally accepted. Sending money to friends and family around the world would be as easy as 123! We could avoid those sky high fees that money centers and banks usually charge. And travelling abroad would be a breeze No need to look if they have your ATM in that area or worrying about forgetting your card. You could also forget about the hassle of keeping all that spare change in your wallet. The list goes on and on. And although there have been debates whether bitcoin is just another “pump and dump” scheme or the next financial revolution, well, we’ll have to wait and see!
